Ruger MKI 4”

Post by Automan71 » Tue Feb 27, 2018 12:27 am

I’m new here, and have a pistol I’d like some info on. I’ve searched all over the internet looking for info on this MKI 4” target. I haven’t found much, haven’t seen any pics of another like it. I read an article saying that MKI 4” targets were made, but haven’t seen another. I did find that it was made in 1976, according to Ruger customer support page. Any other info would be greatly appreciated. Image Pistol is in perfect condition, but sadly, there was no box to be had.

Thanks in advance!

If by going by the serial number your pistol was indeed made during 1976 (which would give it a 13- or 14- prefix serial number), then your gun would have started life as a T512 with 5-1/2" bull barrel. So somebody has cut the barrel down and the front sight is also different than what should be on a T512.
