I found a flattop in excellent condition last week and bought it. according to my limited knowlege, the 7-1/2 inch flattop .44 magnum may be a bit rarer than some. the serial number is 17067 and has walnut grips. as usual, there is flecking on the hammer, but it is VERY minimal. I paid 500 cash, that I had gotten from selling a t.c. contender with two barrels, which I had no desire for, and a s&w 63 pinned barrel .22 which was my SECOND s&w with a cocked barrel. no more sA&w junk for me! is my single action ruger rare?

Welcome and you did good!!! I have not seen a .44 FT 7-1/2"" under $1,000 in many years. Pretty scarce barrel length.
