0 Replies and 5365 Views First Three Screw  5365  0 Started by  CPHarrison I just bought this one on GunBroker last weekend. I wanted to pick up a decent ''shooter'' just to see how I liked the OM guns, and the seller categorized this one as ''very good'' condition. I'm not so sure I'd agree. The turn line on the .22LR cylinder is quite pronounced, and the butt and backstrap have several dings between them. The left side grip is good, but the right side has a couple of minor scratches. The bluing is good except for a tiny bit of wear on the left front tip of the barrel...

0 Replies and 4621 Views 1957 Single Six Lightweight  4621  0 Started by  Anvil New here, excellent site! I recently picked up a 1957 Sigle Six Lightweight, alloy cylinder. Gun is in good shape, drag line on the cylinder, used but everything is tight and function is perfect. It has the original box and garauntee with matching serial numbers, a single six owners manual and the lightweight owners manual. Original parts and a Ruger work order for the conversion dated 1984. I will post pics tonight if anyone is interested in seeing it. I am wondering on a ballpark value. Thanks...

0 Replies and 6212 Views Three digit engraved Single Six  6212  0 Started by  Evia Hello friends, Somebody is offering me the revolver shown in the attached pictures. Some doubts, A. Seems to be that the S/N is 5xx, back to 1954. It's possible that the weapon was originally engraved B. That ''all blue'' finish is correct C. Those grips are correct Any input will be very welcome. Thanks.

0 Replies and 4833 Views Grip replacement for 44 mag  4833  0 Started by  Pintail I have a 1962 44 mag that has a black recessed eagle on the left grip & a silver eagle on the right that appears to have a S/R brand on the body. I think the black eagle is the ''correct'' grip....any chance of finding a matching right side Or another set of ''correct'' grips. Hope someone can help Thanks, Pintail

0 Replies and 8243 Views New Member with Blackhawk questions  8243  0 Started by  Rolex24 First of all a big howdy to everybody. Glad I found this forum as I really like Ruger firearms and have several although I wouldn't consider myself a collector. So, my Dad, who passed away just over a year ago, handed down a circa 1960 Blackhawk to me, SN 23XXX. It has the 10'' barrel, aftermarket grips, no box and some decent wear. Doesn't have the transfer bar conversion. I'm not really concerned about the value as it relates to selling it as I'll end up handing it down to a nephew but I ...
