0 Replies and 3866 Views Interesting flatgate...  3866  0 Started by  RugerHound This flatgate, SN 23013 seems to be in pretty good shape, but I don't know how stock it is. It came with a magnum cylinder which seems peculiar for the vintage. Also there is an ''M'' stamped after the ''22 CAL'' rollmark. The stamp looks to have been done following the bluing process. &91img&93http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r157/Zoodirt/Type20320Flatgate20SN2023013/IMG_4136_Close.jpg&91/img&93 Cylinder appears fresher than the rest of the finish on the gun. &91img&93http://i1...

0 Replies and 3014 Views Vaquero Commomerative Ruger and his Guns  3014  0 Started by  RugerHound Does anyone out there have any idea what the value of one of these sets might be There are two sets listed, one gold & one silver. RENE says the silver retailed for 1800 or there abouts. They are apparently an 'After Factory' custom job, but fairly unique inasmuch as they don't have fluted cylinders. Best regards and thanks!

0 Replies and 4892 Views Found a .357 OM 4 5/8 Blackhawk  4892  0 Started by  RugerHound It's a peach. Looks to be unfired! Unfortunately no papers or box, but for 430 bucks can't complain too much I guess. The revolver looks unfired, with only a hint of a scratch from handling here & there. 1965 according to the SN. (689xx) Heck, even the base pin for the cylinder has 95 of its bluing on it. I'll put some photos up as soon as the camera battery finishes charging. It's the cleanest OM that I've found yet.

0 Replies and 3776 Views Was it worth it?  3776  0 Started by  deadshot I picked up a RUGER SINGLE-SIX WIN.22 RF MAG. 3 screw .It had no cylinders. Called Ruger and they said that with the safety upgrade they can make both cylinders for $115.00. I figured by the time I ship I will have $300.00 into the whole gun. I guess it was a decent deal after I get it back. The gun is NRA 85 condition. No scratches of gouges. The bluing is good except 1/2 inch of holster wear at the muzzle. The frame anodizing is gray. Ruger wants $130.00 to re blue it which would put it over...

My dad gave me my first Ruger, a flat gate single six for Christmas in 1957 (as best I remember). Still have it! I now also have two Old Army's. One made in 1973; other in 1974 Both show in the records as having shipped with brass frames. One came to me with a Bianchi-made leather flap holster. QUESTIONS: 1. How rare/valuable are the brass frame guns Both are in mint 98 condition. 2. I've been told the Bianchi holster is quite rare and valuable. Yes Any thoughts on thes...

0 Replies and 4695 Views 4 5/8" Super Blackhawk  4695  0 Started by  Rockym I have recently acquired a Super Blackhawk ser 3887. I believe it to be manufactured sometime around 1960. It has a 4 5/8'' barrel, the larger grip frame with large varnished Dragoon type grips, and no emblems. That said, I can't seem to find any mention of this model made with a 4 5/8'' barrel. The rear sight says ''Micro'' on the top and the front sight is shorter and flat on top. This is the best balanced blackhawk that I have (out of about 20) with a crisp light trigger. Any thoughts on th...
