0 Replies and 5368 Views New to me Ruger Single Six Magnum, 1960  5368  0 Started by  dennyfoutch This Old Model came into the shop the other day and being more addicted to guns than money I bought her and took her home with me. According to Ruger's website this revolver hails from 1960. She came with the period holster and an unfired .22 Magnum cylinder. I checked the Mag cyl and she fits perfectly so I am figuring it is the correct one. The barrel is 6 1/2 Inches and the grips appear to be Walnut. As you can hopefully see from these quickie pictures she is in great shape with little si...

0 Replies and 3817 Views Conversion parts from Old to New Model  3817  0 Started by  whump1 I'm a new member and have a question. I have an Old Model Blackhawk 357 that has been converted with the Ruger installed transfer bar. Is there a source for obtaining the Old model parts that were removed I understand Ruger returned the old parts if requested but none were with my Blackhawk when I bought it. Thanks for any response.

0 Replies and 3344 Views Factory Brass Frame Old Army  3344  0 Started by  seeemmiss Here is a pretty nice example of a boxed Ruger Old Army with a facotry brass frame on it. I hear tell there are around 1479 of the factory brass frame guns that can be varified. This guns appears as new condition and has its original box, manual, and warranty card. Pretty nice little package. :D

0 Replies and 3449 Views Rookie question---1967 .357 Blackhawk BKH36  3449  0 Started by  lagnafinc1109 I acquired this 1967 model .357 Blackhawk pistol from my college roommate in 1975 and it has sat in my closet ever since. It's so clean I don't think it has ever even been fired. The serial number is 102253 Thinking of selling it, but have no idea of 1) its reasonable value and 2) best places to advertise it for sale. I'm a new member (rookie) so any advice is appreciated Thanks

0 Replies and 3321 Views I want to polish an OM grip frame  3321  0 Started by  Tenpoint I would like to polish the grip frame on a well-worn OM Single Six. It is one of my shooter guns and I don't ever expect to sell it as it was a gift. Any advice on how to do this I have a Dremel tool with an assortment of small felt polishing wheels. What medium should I use to remove the anodizing Should I spray it with clear coat when finished to protect it from discoloring

0 Replies and 4831 Views Rarity and Value of BKH42 w/ Brass Grip Frame?  4831  0 Started by  Rick13S I am looking a purchasing a friends .41 Rem Mag BKH42 that has a very low serial number (3 digit 1965) and according to the factory was shipped with a steel grip frame. It has a brass super/dragoon grip frame and stag grips. The backstrap is engraved with the former owners name (I was told that it was presented by Ruger to the former owner as a thank you gift - he was a dealer). Might the distributor have added the grip frame and engraved it to present to the dealer Any thought on a value for...

0 Replies and 6572 Views Mahogany Cased Super Blackhawk  6572  0 Started by  waynewalker I recently saw a mahogany cased Super Blackhawk with a serial number of 48XX on Gunbroker.com. I called Ruger and they said the cased models only went up to 4200. I've read where Ruger's serial numbers were somewhat random, but I'm wondering if it is possible to have a cased Super Blackhawk with a serial number in the 4800 range Any help would be appreciated. 0 Replies and 7080 Views 7.5" FT 44 Blackhawk  7080  0 Started by  Dave T I posed this question on the RugerForum, then thought better of it and decided this was the place to get the correct information. How rare, hard to find and desirable are the 7.5'' Blackhawk 44s I don't see any where close to as many as the 6.5'' but that may only mean the owners are hanging on to them instead of selling. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Dave

It's been converted but all the original parts are in a little bag. Anyone remember Tandy Leather and their fastdraw rig promotion with Del Woolem The holsters came as a kit without tooling. Someone did a fairly good job on this one. Doesn't appear to have ever been worn. (Now I'm looking for a 4 5/8'' barrel like the one I owned when I was a kid.) &91img&93http://img.photobucke...
