0 Replies and 4353 Views My Favorite "Shooter" Super Blackhawk  4353  0 Started by  Doc44 This Super Blackhawk, 80-28892, March 1971 is a favorite shooter of mine. The brass gripframe is of Ruger manufacture, but not original to the gun. The Zebrawood grips were purchased from Chad H. a few months ago. The trigger on this SBH is fairly light and breaks like glass with absolutely no creep. Bill &91img&93http://www.fototime.com/90DA7D7A239A9E2/standard.jpg&91/img&93

0 Replies and 4375 Views Question on RCA Letters  4375  0 Started by  Doc44 I have most of the revolvers in my collection ''lettered''. Three of the guns have letters from the RCA dated from 1988 to 1992 and are signed by Nancy Padua. They confirm the model of the gun, its date of manufacture and its shipping date (month, day, year). Current letters and RCA certificates confirm the model of the gun and its shipping date (month and year). I find both the manufacturing date and shipping date (month, day, year) to be of interest. Is there any way we could return to ...

0 Replies and 6431 Views Chrome/Nickel Super Single Sixes  6431  0 Started by  bigbore45colt I recently came across another factory chrome/nickel Super Single Six at a local show. S/n is 506175 and the Factory lettered it as a ''SC6 (NICKEL)'', shipped in August, 1965. This one only came with the 22 LR cylinder. Is there any way to know if this one is a LR only gun &91attachment=2&93DSC00137.JPG&91/attachment&93 &91attachment=1&93DSC00140.JPG&91/attachment&93 &91attachment=0&93DSC00143.JPG&91/attachment&93 My other gun is 505139 and letters as a chrome gun, shipped in...

0 Replies and 4852 Views One of My Favorite 44 Magnums  4852  0 Started by  Doc44 I was fortunate to purchase this Blackhawk 44 Magnum many years ago from Lynn Laudise. It was shipped in May 1959 and is fitted with (what I believe are) factory ivory grips. It is one of my favorites :) . Bill &91img&93http://www.fototime.com/DB06F4D6D273762/standard.jpg&91/img&93

0 Replies and 5270 Views Re: Harrisburg RCA show  5270  0 Started by  brass frame I am planning to attend, it was a great show last year and I believe that it will be even better this year. I will probably be bringing a few ''.44 Flattops'' to display and a couple of tables of Rugers to sell. It is a great venue and NIck,our host, sure treats us right! Lee N. I sure wish that you could make it but will look forward to seeing you at the RCA dispaly booth in Louisville in May.
