Well I attended the Langham Auction and meet the brothers.....they seemed very nice....

I was the guy that informed them about the guns you are talking about....they had the later bolts and were in the 1 of 5000 Cod boxes.....yes it was several hours before the auction and they did ad the info to the online descriptions.....

I drove about 8 hours one way to check out the gun I was interested in and did manage to bring it home with me....I am happy with my purchase and there was NO BUYERS PREMIUM if you were in attendance.....made it worth my trip....

Most buyers were happy with the prices and the merchandise that I have talked with.....sorry that you feel you were taken....Nate was more than willing to answer any questions I had prior to the auction....sometimes the people writing the listings have very little RUGER KNOWLEDGE and you need to ask very specific questions so you are not misled.... I have NO DOG IN THIS HUNT.....just had a different experience in person.....RR.

Should I post fraudulant auction site with their procedures with proof?
    Here we go !

I buy a lot of guns online and sometimes through ProxiBid.Never had an issue until the Langham Auction 11/16/12 I had placed a lot of prebids around the 1st of Nov. and wound up with 8 guns for $4975.75. After auction that evening I reread the listing info. on my won items and noticed that updates had been placed in the info. 1 hour before auction. I mean serious changes like the bolts on 2 Ruger 1949 Standard Red Eagles had been factory replaced and so on.
I called Langhams next morning and asked what was going on? Spoke to the secretary and not to bill my credit card yet. She said she would not bill. Nate Langham called later and said they added info 1 hour before start of auction. I told him I over paid for at least 2 or more of the guns. They had my credit card. He said will not charge my card until he spoke with the seller and would contact me the next day, Sunday and work out a partial refund. Ok.
Late Tues. I called Langham, he had ""lost my number"" and reluctantly agreed to a $225.00 discount and would no longer do business with me. Also I could send cashiers and take off another 3% for cash $150.00. So I send $4600.00. They had already charged my card the 4,975. After some time it was refunded to card.
Recieved the guns Mon. 12/10/12. All but 3 guns were completely misrepresented. Damage to some not mentioned, rust on others. Boxes (origional to gun) not matching numbers or guns. Wrong manuals.Wrong serial #'s. Freckling on some. The worst is 2, 1949 Standard Red Eagles were to come in origional boxes with the ""Salt Cod Boxes"". The boxes turn out to be the 50 year replica boxes and the red box is not even labeled to gun on one. The shipping sleeves state ""Stainless Steel. Come on 1949 Red Eagles? The listing info says "" in origional box with papers and salt cod wood box, from Don Findley collection"".
I call Langham again. He states ""he bent over backwards and all sales are final and that's it""!! I now know why the live bidders at the auction site quit their bidding. They could see live what was presented. A few other guns I had bid on were sold for less than my offers. Lucky me. Bottom line, I paid $4600.00 for maybe $2500.00 or so worth of guns because of their misrepresentations.
His sellers fee was $630.75. Charged me $140.00 to ship in 2 Priority USPS boxes. He does and did not care . His attitude was very calis and had no sympathy.
ProxiBid now has a complaint filed against him and is trying to help me.
NEVER buy from Langham Auctions. Always pay with credit card. You have recourse.
I really feel left out in the cold on this one. I wanted you to know what kind of people you are dealing with at Langhams. BUYER BEWARE !!!!!

Lucky you . Wish I had been there also. For what it's worth,Nate Langham told me on the phone changes were made 1 hour before auction. 3 out of 8 guns were as described !! Not knowing of the changes before hand I am stuck with some very over priced guns for the time being. Proxibid is trying to get me a refund. This is the only time of purchasing guns through an auction that this has occurred. Lucky me,
