0 Replies and 4819 Views Found Several No. 1's on an Online Auction  4819  0 Started by  M77-.35 Whelen Hello, For those fellow No. 1 fans, I found around a dozen or so that are selling on an internet auction. It looks like they are well taken care of and in great shape. I found them at this link - https://ucgreatplains.hibid.com/catalog ... e-auction/ I'll definitely be keeping my eye on some. You just can't ever have to many No. 1's.

0 Replies and 6308 Views flat top 44's  6308  0 Started by  Rodgunbow I have a 10 inch and a 7 1/2 inch .44 flat top. Going to thin out my collection. Not sure how much to ask for them. I know those two barrel lengths are the rarer ones. Also have a 1 in .308, a model 77 in .308 and a .22 Bearcat, all with the same 2 digit serial . Any info on the flat tops would be appreciated.

This is not a CHP rifle but one of the over runs. Can someone here tell me how many of these were produced that were not CHP marked

0 Replies and 5621 Views How rare is my Ruger number one?  5621  0 Started by  jljr1944 I have a Ruger number one that was made in 1976. (liberty model) The caliber is 458 win-mag. The rifle has a custom High end monte carlo stock. I can not find another Ruger with this stock anywhere I look on the internet. Did this stock come with the rifle from the factory or is it a add on If it is a factory stock does anyone know how many number ones were made with this stock in 1976.

0 Replies and 6311 Views Ruger 1 Non-Prefix Serial  6311  0 Started by  dirtman2001 Hi everyone. Just wanted to show off the gem I picked up last year. S26M, non-prefix, serial 460. Shipped from the factory on 1/30/68. Chambered in .22-250. I bought it for $200 from the son of the original owner. I didn't know what a Ruger 1 was when I bought it, but I never pass anything up. It was stored in a padded hard case for most of it's life. The pics are from when I first brought it home, and there's still some fuzz from the case on it, but there isn't a blemish anywhere on the gun, ...

0 Replies and 6157 Views Questions about a 1970 No.1  6157  0 Started by  300 H and H New member, first post... Recently I acquired a No.1 that has me puzzled. It is a medium sporter, no sights. It caught my eye because of the pistol grip and checkering pattern, and those I recognized as of the early type. Not to mention it has a knock out fancy butt stock, one of the best I have seen. The condition is as new, and it is a shame there was not the original bo with it.. What puzzles me is the serial no. it prefied with 130, indicating 1970, and the serial is 0075, not so long...

0 Replies and 11939 Views Ruger No. 1 questions  11939  0 Started by  jims Just trying to gain information. I have a No. 1 in 45-70, it is a Lyman Centennial, made in 1978. It has on it the Lyman Centennial scope, about a 34 inch scope. It was shot before I got it and there was no wood presentation case with it. I plan to shoot it also but would like to mount a more modern scope. The barrel is a heavier barrel, in the 1.1 to 1.2 inch range at the breech and 28 inches long. Some said the 1V or 1H bases are needed, some have indicated I need two rear bases. ...

0 Replies and 6697 Views Customer Loyalty  6697  0 Started by  Col. F. Bina To all Ruger owners, Just a short note to give us all another reason to love and collect Rugers. I recently purchased a NIB (18-year-old stock) Number 1 medium sporter in 45-70. It had (what I considered to be) a factory defect concerning the alignment of the barrel. Their customer service reps I spoke with could not have been more pleasant or professional. Long story short, Ruger replaced the barrel at no cost and shipped it back to me in a very short time - no questions asked. I would b...
