    Howdy fine folks!
It seems to me that it is my fault this brand new part of the RCA forum is opened, so I guess I should open the Ball. I'm 37 year old born and bred Norwegian , and yes that means the Norway in Europe. (Not the town in Minnesota where some of my mail order stuff tend to end up) But currently I live in The Netherlands (Not because of the drug laws and especially not because of the gun laws) My girlfriend is dutch, and I am studying while we're here. I met that wonderful girl in Texas of all places, where I lived for a year in 2005-2006. I have done lots of things in my life but now I am a teacher, and taking a master in ICT & Learning.
I have had a long lasting interest in guns, both for shooting and just for knowing about them. Got my first shotgun when I was 13 (A Soviet union made star Baikal S/S in 16 gauge) and have mainly been acquiring guns since then. Currently I am a fairly active shooter when I can find the time for it, competing in IPSC, IHMSA, MILAC and Cowboy action shooting (And a few Norwegian national programs) And I guess I can brag about being the current European BP cartridge CAS champion :D)
five six years ago, I didn't like Rugers at all. Ok, the 10/22 was a fun plinker and so was the mini 14. But handguns? Those homely looking bricks of pistols, strange DA revolvers and “un-cowboy” single actions... Well, I shot the first European CAS championships in 2004 with my Uberti Schofields, but after that all the practice and matchet had worn them out, the second pair of Uberti's I used up. So I Gave inn and decided to try a pair of .45 vaqueros. The I got a .454 Casull Super Redhawk in a trade for a Dan Wesson... Now five or six year later I have traded almost all of my revolvers, SA & DA into Ruger, and I have got a hankerin for more. I do not have any particularly interesting or exciting revolvers as such. Mainly Blackhawks and Vaqueros in “normal” calibers. But my main Cowboy handguns guns is old model vaqueroes in 44-40, wich is the best for shooting BP. Most of my Rugers ae even modiefed to some extent so I guess I might me a heathen in some collectors eyes :(). But the Ruger guns have realy snuck up on me, and now I'm even working to trade of my CZ pistols for Ruger Pistols, so we'll have to see how that goes.
I guess it's to late to specialize in SA Rugers for me, but to me those are guns I use any way, even if I love them a lot. I guess my main interest will be in the wonderful, solid (And sometimes pretty) Ruger Double action revolvers. There is just so many different versions out there! :D But I'm not entirely saying no to other Ruger firearms either, I'm just realising that I just can't collect them all.

Welcome, you are indeed responsible for this new Forum and what a great suggestion it was!! I can hardly wait for your pictures and descriptions of your custom Rugers for our upcoming Journal dedicated to Custom Rugers. Again, welcome to the RCA, it is great to have a Texas influenced Norwegian join our group!! ;)
