I have a Ruger Super Blackhawk 44 mag with a 10 1/2 inch barrel. I looked it up on the Bluebook, the most recent issue and they place the value around $1,900.00. Is this right? I know that not very many were made, but this seems a little high to me. I would appreciate any help you all can give.

    Muchas gracias,

    Hoot,

So its a Ruger single action in .44 mag with 10 1/2"". If is a new model, it could be a Super Blackhawk but if it is an old model it must be a Blackhawk.

Old Model 10 1/2"" .44 magnum were made in total 1,500 and a value of $1,900 is about right but again a Blackhawk.

New Model 10 1/2"" .44 magnum with tapered barrel $600 and $500 for the bull barrel Super Blackhawk.

Now there is ONE 10 1/2"" old model Super Blackhawk that was a special order with serial #1505 and it's owner ATT is well known. If another could be verified by Ruger it would be worth much more than $1900.

    Satcom'

Thank you for your post on my Ruger firearm. Mine is the New Model Super Blackhawk 44 mag with the 10 1/2 inch barrel. The SN is 83-915xx. I looked at the wrong model in the Blue Book. However, even if mine were the older model it would not be worth the $1,900 as it shows some wear as it has been shot. It does not have the original grips on it. It has Pachymar rubber grips. For the life of me I cannot find the factory grips. I know that I did not throw them away, I simply cannot find them. The revolver has some minor scratches on the bluing, not bad, but honest wear and tear on a using gun. From what I have described to you would the value be the $500.00 or so. I know that it is very hard to come up with a value without seeing it in hand. Just looking for a ball park figure.

    Muchas gracias,

    Hoot
