hello , my name is mike and I joined looking for some info on a 41 mag blackhawk that i have. Its a old model 52xx serial in very good condition, no holster wear on bluing, 4 5/8 barrel, the question is does this have any potential collector value that regular use would ruin? If more info is needed let me know, I just don't know how desirable these old rugers are. Any help is appreciated. thanks,,Mike.

The .41 Magnum with the 4-5/8"" barrels are very desirable, both as good shooters and collectibles. One in about 98% condition runs in the $650 value range without the box. That being said, in my opinion, shooting one that is in good condition, as long as you clean and take of it, should not hurt its value. Of course, holster wear, scratches, dings, etc. will most certainly affect the value adversely!
