I recently acquired a Ruger 1AB in .204 Ruger. It got me curious about the model and when searching the internet, I found this forum. I also have a Ruger mini-14 and Ruger MarkIII .22 pistol (Lipsey's special). My son has a Ruger Single Six and 10/22.

I need to acquire a few more Rugers. I like that they are made in the USA.

Hello Blackduece. Welcome to this collector fourm. We have many who collect and shoot all models of Ruger. Tell us more about your favorite Rugers. Do you only shoot them or do you collect too? I look forward to more posts from you.. Brass Frame/Lee

    Thanks for the welcome.

I do a little shooting with my kids. Mostly shotguns and .22's. I have a number of guns (about 20), but I'm reluctant to call myself a collector. I don't have the expertise. My brother does, however, and he's the culprit that got me into it. :D

I have a tendancy to buy a gun that I like, but then I don't want to shoot it if it might have some collector's value at some point. I was recently looking for a cheap high-power that I could shoot with my sons, and found a Ruger 1AB. I know they didn't make them for very many years, so I probably won't shoot it. A lot of guys say, ""shoot the darn thing"", but I know a NIB gun will be worth more later.
