I have a 1962 44 mag that has a black recessed eagle on the left grip & a silver eagle on the right that appears to have a S/R brand on the body. She is in very good condition with no turn line & very slight blueing loss at mussel & near trigger.
I would like to have factory correct grips. I think the black eagle is the ""correct"" grip....any chance of finding a matching right side? Or another set of ""correct"" grips.
    Hope someone can help
    Thanks, Pintail

Yes, the Black Eagle grips would be correct for your revolver. Is it a ""Blackhawk"" Flattop or a ""Super Blackhawk"" with the square back trigger guard?

Hi Bill; Thanks for the quick response. She is a ""Super"" blackhawk with the square trigger guard. I thought I was correct in which grip was correct because i went to an article I believe you wrote on the subject. I found the reference to it on this site.
I was thinking of changing the grips to some very nice checkered grips , if I can't put her back to factory. Heck , she's not original now...unless she came from the factory like that. Pintail
