I have a Ruger .22 cal pistol that I bought used 10 - 15 years ago. The reciever has no tapering cut outs at the bolt tabs, has a ""Micro"" adjustable rear sight, and a six in. barrel. It has a bolt release lever on the left side above the grip and does lock back on an empty mag. The STRANGE thing is that there is NO writing on the pistol EXCEPT: R005 stamped on the right side of the reciever just forward of the ejection port. Can anyone help me with the history of this pistol ?
