    I have a Ruger Blackhawk .44 Magnum Flattop that is Nickel Plated i think. Im trying to fid out about ow much its worth. I trade a shotgun for it and want to know if i made a good deal. The Serial nuber is 9930. I called Ruger and they gave me an over the phone confirmation that it was shipped in 58 or 59 and i sent in my letter to get the authenticy letter. any help would be appreciated.

    Really need to wait until you get the factory letter. If it says that it was nickle plated at the factory then it will enhance the value greatly!! Let us know as soon as you get it and post a picture of the letter.

    My oh, my, that may be a real prize. Ah, but let's not get too wound up until SR&Co. replies to your request for a ""Letter"".

    I've not seen very many early Blackhawks with nickel or chrome Micro Rear Sight assemblies, that's for sure.

    It has been a couple of months now, have you gotten a Letter back from Ruger? If so please let us know what it said.

    Well it says factory blued with black pistol grips, that sucks but oh we'll what are ya gonna do.
