    Hello....
I love Ruger....I had a Black hawk in 357 magnum...and it was fun to shoot. Sorry I sold it years ago...
My question is about my Ruger Mini 14, model 180 s/n 180-36880.
I bought this in 1976, I have never fired it. I was considering making it my survival rifle but I find that parts are no longer available from Ruger to make up a parts kit...springs, extractor, ejector, etc...
Is this worth anything as a collectors piece?...Can I get parts for this? ( Numrich is out)
The gun has never been fired...it has some light rusting on the outer surfaces, the action and barrel look clean. I was going to take off the rust using Kroil and brass wire cloth.
I would appreciate some help...should I sell this and get a shooter or shoot it?
    Thanks,
    Anthony barbuto

PS....any one have any experience with Muzzelite bull pup stock? I wanted to put the gun in this but the trigger pull is awful. I understand a metal transfer bar instead of the plastic the mfger gives you would help...any one know?

a couple of questions does it have a wood hand guard and is the workins of the bolt hold open exposed ? I would not change much that prefix is preferred by collectors and if it has the before mentioned it is really liked

    YEs to both your questions.
    How much is this worth?
I have ordered some new gas bushings before I shoot it.....
Some one make me an offer.....
Willing to take a used newer version mini 14 as a shooter plus some cash for this unfired mini 14 model 180.
Please reply to barbuto@optonline.net as the reply thru your web site takes TWO MONTHS...thanks
