I have an old 45/70 Tropical That I need to sell it is in 90 to 95% condition (per Gun Shop Owner). I took it to my local Gun Shop and the owner suggested I ask on line as to the value. It has a red rubber butt plate the serial # is 130-02xxx it does not have the Ruger Warning on the barrel. I'm too old to know how to post pictures so if someone could give me an idea as to its value I'd appreciate it.

    Thanks, GMB

As I understand it, there is / was no such thing as a 45/70 Tropical. There were a few calibers that were made looking similar, but were catalogued and listed as sporters.
