My 1st post here,
I have lots of Ruger revolvers, But today i bought a true Classic, 1961 Flat Top .357 6.5 inch, with Box and papers. Appears to unfired since leaving the factory. Even has the Brown shipping container. S#398XX,
Can anybody guess what such a gun is worth? thanks...tj

Re: Hello!
Welcome. You have come to the right place.
Re: Hello!
Looking at RENE price guide here is what I'm showing for the components:
Flattop 357 8 Groove 6.5" - $725
BKH36 Box - $145
total of tangibles - $865
Now you get to add in the extras that are more opinion based, "The Complete Package"
357 flattop prices seem to be down lately, especially with the 6.5", but I still think a complete package like this one should be in the $1100 - 1200 range, and maybe a little higher to the right person looking for that specific setup.
Now that I've thrown out the first price opinion, let's see where other stand on this assessment.

Re: Hello!
Thank you for the kind replies,
I have looked very closely at this revolver, and it appears to be unfired since it left the factory.
Not sure what I will do with it, I might just buy a holster and use it.
But I would prefer to trade it for a more used firearm that is not so pristine...thanks...tj
